He’s a middle of the pack coach, at best. His abysmal record against ranked teams is definitive proof of this.
2-9 in November, a career .500 coach, can’t beat top 25 P4 teams, has the 26’ recruiting class dead last in the Big Ten, but thank God we extended him. Just wait till the magical year 3….
13-18 against P4 and 10-16 in the B1G is just awful. Needs to win Friday to not have a 3rd straight year of a losing conference record. Say we can’t be like Indiana all you want but can we just have a winning conference record?
So far in three years, Rhule has beaten only one conference team that ended up with a winning record - Northwestern in 2023.
We are and have been a bottom 1/3 Big 10 team. Northwestern, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Michigan State, UCLA are all comps to NU. We are over paying this staff. Results count. Press conferences and podcasts do not. Period.

But he does what it takes to win games. Iowa football is boring but there’s a reasons he’s had 3 losing seasons at Iowa. He doesn’t take stupid risks like Matt does. He sticks to the script and knows that guys like Matt will make mistakes where he won’t
And we will probably jump on Iowa early and he’ll beat us in the 4th quarter again by playing field position. He will punt at mid-field on 4th and short and pin us deep when Matt would go for it and lose

...and in true three-pump chump fashion was drummed out of the NFL prematurely in his 3rd year with a record of 11-27.
Better yet, his 3-year NFL winning percentage of .289 ranks him a measly .003 behind...wait for it...MIKE RILEY!
