Panthers win the toss & defer Monroe will get the ball first.

Power issues force a delay in the Pit!


Game starts @ 7:50

Monroe with a great drive that takes up almost 11 minutes but the Panther D stiffens & forces the pick. Panthers now on the Red Hawk 5 with a 3 & 2.

Franklin punches it in from the 2 for the early lead.

Monroe with a couple quick strikes to score & takes the lead with a 2pt conv.

Franklin drives down inside the 10 but the Monroe D stiffens & forces a 23yd FG

Red Hawks take the KO to the Panther 12.

Monroe Scores on 4th & 2.....2pt try is no good. 2:41 left in the 2Q

Panthers set for the 3Q KO.

Franklin gets to the Monroe 6 but turns it over 6 inches short of a 1st down as the Red Hawk D stiffens again.



Monore drives from the 2 into Franklin territory but the Panther D stiffens & forces a punt that the Red Hawks don't get off. Panthers with the ball on the 35 to start the 4Q

Franklin punches it in from the 19 for the score.

On to the Regional Final!!!

****Breaking news......Panthers take a big hit before the game even starts. #11 QB Dalton Cochran has a fractured ankle & is doubtful for tonights contest.****

Panthers face a 4th & 5 in Red Hawk territory with 1:53 left which is stopped Monroe has 1:48 left from their 26!

This game has nothing to do with the refs. If anything, Franklin had several calls go against them this week. Great win for Franklin!

Franklin wins a classic!......just a great game & what high school football should be about this time of the year. Both teams left it all on the field. Congrats to the Panthers as they set a school record for wins with 14! A special shout on to #11 for a gritty performence on a fractured ankle.

Enjoy the win. I saw an unusual thing tonight at East Lincoln that I have not seen in the three games I watched. They had to punt once. No joke.

RadioCheck, nice work.

Hitemhard93, why in god's name would someone from Pisgah pull so hard against Franklin in the state playoffs? That's absolutely ridiculous that you can't find some joy in a fellow conference member having success on the field against teams from down east.

Congrats to Franklin. Twice in the last 3 years Monroe's speed is supposed to run a mountain team off the field and both times they leave the mountains with an L.
