just for comparison purposes:

Croom has fielded a team that was shutout 6 times in four years.

Sherrill fielded a team that was shutout 5 times in 13 years.

...and 4 of those came in the last three years.

Also, State's total points scored in 4 years under Crxxm 826. You have to go back to '86 through '89 to find a 4 year point total lower. You have to go back to 1971 to find a single year point total lower than 2005's 153.

All this from a guy who claims his forte is offense.

was that the Auburn offense itself was pretty ineffective AND our defense forced 3 turnovers (2 in Auburn territory) and we STILL couldn't muster an offensive point. If our field position all night had been horrible or if Auburn was chewing up the clock with their offense then our lack of production would have been more understandable. Croom points out that Auburn didn't score a TD either, but even with them struggling as they did they still managed almost 3 times the offensive yardage output we had and attempted 3 FGs without receiving a single turnover from us that put them in good field position.

Not to mention that Auburn has only been installing their new offense for roughly 1/5 of the time we have been trying valiantly to install this trainwreck.
