And Scout? 34 offers from big name schools, 92 tackles, 32 TFL and 11 sacks as a JR,
5 Robert Porcher IV Dr. Phillips Committed to Nebraska (June 29) DE 6-3 248 Good size,
Number 5 in the Central Florida Super60. Something doesn't add up. C'mon Rivals and Scout, step up your numbers kids, high 3 at least.

This is being discussed in the other thread and the Michigan poster is getting torched for suggesting that he doesn't really have all those offers (or some of the big name offers). Honestly though, he's probably right. Whether or not we care as Nebraska fans is another story, but in this day and age of recruiting I seriously doubt that the son of a former NFL player living in a highly recruited geographical area is getting overlooked by all of the recruiting services.

He will probably get a bump to a low or mid three star now that he is committed to NU and most people will probably be happy with that.

That is the #5 ranking I'm the city not the state. He is going to be a good one, but being the #5 player in Orlando doesn't mean your deserving of a great rivals rankings

Cyrus Fagan: 5.9 4*
DeMarco 'D.J.' Artis: 5.5 3*
Jordan Pouncey: 5.5 3*
Dylan Meeks: 5.5 3*
Jonathon MacCollister: 5.6 3*

Robert Porcher IV's two-star ratings from Rivals and Scout are curious based on his Hudl film, which is more than good enough for 3 stars.

But the stats, offer list and film are worthy of at least a 3 star. Not like he racked up those numbers at a class D school in the middle of podunk nowhere.

I'm not so sure about the Orlando Sentinel rankings - Calvin Ashley is ranked #11 on the Central Florida list, but Rivals has him as a 5* and #26 in the country.

Rivals guy explained his new evaluation will be more accurate because he was last evaluated at DT I believe.

It's actually regional...Central Florida. Point still stands, that it's not the state, but it's also not as small as just the city of Orlando.

Thank you so much! That totally explains a lot. This guy is going to be a monster at WDE, but yeah, he's probably only serviceable as a DT. That really clears it up and I expect a re-ranking for DE specifically soon. I would say he should be a mid-3 star based on stats alone, but who knows?

Well apparently the resident Michtard feels the need to put-down the kid.

We had quite a few guys get bumped in ratings last year as they played out their senior year. Porcher was evaluated at tackle. Non-issue to me.

A certain Mr. O'Brien was a bit unsung when NU got in on him. He finished up the year just fine IIRC......
