It was pretty solid:

Tyler Russell, Gabe Jackson, Chad Bumphis, Chris Smith, LaDarius Perkins, Fletcher Cox, Josh Boyd, Cameron Lawrence, Dennis Thames, Nickoe Whitley, Jonathan Banks are all starters or are contributing right now. I think Deontae Skinner and Sam Watts will also contribute in the very near future as well.

You have to give Croom credit for starting that class and then Dan for finishing it off strong.

However, let's all be glad he's not here to waste and/or fail to develop the talent that was brought in.

Yep, I'm not sure how many of those guys would have stayed solid if Croom would have stuck around.<div>
</div><div>Is Thames playing that much? I never really notice him. Will Cam Lawrence be a starter next year?

with everyone that has said let's be glad that Croom is gone because he would waste every single one of those players. I give Dan more credit for keeping that class together when people were trying to raid it.

I would imagine with out depth at LB next year that Cam Lawrence would start. He is the co-starter right now, or at least he was. He is a guy that really should have been redshirted. Wouldn't totally shock me if he doesn't though.

Thames is Charles Mitchell's back-up, so no he doesn't play a whole heck of a lot right now, but I imagine that he will in a couple of years. I certainly wouldn't count out Matthew Wells in his spot, though. Some think that Wells will grow into a linebacker. Thames has done OK in some limited action.

He has good size for a center, and he is smart. Saulsberry will start next year, but Watts will take over as a junior probably.

He is one of those nasty football players that you don't want to cross. Going up against him is probably like going up against a wildcat.

He would have gotten a lot more attention in high school if he wasn't 260 or whatever he was.

I like how he did everything our staff asked of him to get a scholarship. That really impressed me.
