Extremely hard course in addition to bad weather. Who's your pick to win? And what score will win it?

My prediction: Geoff Ogilvy Score: Even par

between his wife and the media, it has to be wearing him down. And he isnt the strongest-minded player anyway.

I followed him around a little last week in Memphis. He either looked pissed off (from poor performance) or beaten down (understandably). I hope he does well this week, but I would be more than surprised if he can pull it all together mentally and contend on Sunday. I also wouldn't be surprised if he misses the cut.

Anybody have any sleeper picks for the week? Brian Gay is 50-1 to win. I like his game. He's not long, but hits as straight as an arrow and is putting really well right now. I could see him contending if he hits fairways this week. That being said, he'll shoot 80 today and make me look like an ***.

My prediction: Jim Furyk -3

The greens were not at tournament speed when Jordan and the rest played. Their scores would be much higher if they played the greens the pros are playing this week.

Someone watched sportscenter last night or this morning and stole Andy North's formulated prediction

Just that alone probably takes 10 strokes off his game.

both timberlake and roethlisberger are pretty famously pretty good golfers, and course conditions (recent reain that softened the greens) made it easy to not make typical us open mistakes (in other words, not too much of the weak chips ending up back at their feet). the weather will get worse but still i wouldn't be surprised if the scores get a little lower this year but i don't think much lower.

on pti ben said everything went his way. i don't know, i thought 81 was really a great score, and there will be a lot of pros who won't beat it, but big ben wouldn't have made the cut. also, don't forget that the open is a pretty grueling event both mentally and physically, i would bet the house the 81 was the lowest score with at least one 100+ round threw in there if he played four rounds. tiger did the same thing with matt lauer last year and ate crow, i think he might stay silent last year.
