out of nowhere, after talking about one voice for us, there is a clip of burke's home run with Ellis on the call.

actually, when Whit specifically discusses how its been one voice, they also show a baseball clip.

How in the world was there no mention of our trip to Atlanta? With recruits at the spring game that would have been something I made sure was in the video.

I thought the exact same thing... and we're talking about Jack's calls and then they show...a 17ing track clip? Nothing says Jack Cristil like his memorable triple jump call.

1) This was the first time the school has ever had me do a video for them... the rest of them were me on my own, throwing it together on my own time...

2) This particular video they wanted to incorporate as much of the ENTIRE athletic department as possible... which is why you saw random clips of other sports... the ones that will be used during football season will be ALL football

3) I (somewhat) had a time limit... and a lot of things that HAD to go in there, and things that were suggested... things were going to get left out... the others will look and sound NOTHING like that one

4) The clip of Jim in the middle is kind of confusing, I know, that actually was my decision of a part of history to be used that hadn't shown up in the other "True Maroon" videos they did in the past...

I'm not really making any excuses, just answering some questions... I always listen to what folks say to get suggestions, what to do, not do, etc... so, this is stuff that will be taken into consideration for the next ones... The one good thing about doing this for the school is that I'm pretty sure the SEC won't gripe and get these videos taken down :)</p>

No, it won't be used.

I'm planning on each new video to have a different look and feel than the others... and will also likely be specific to that particular game.

And of course, it'll also be able to be exclusively football-related.

Since we've got about 5 months until the next one... give me a list of Jack's FOOTBALL calls you would like to hear in the future videos... I generally don't like recycling the same things, but I also know that some almost always need to be included...

1980 Alabama, for example.

What are some others you would like to hear?

Don Smith broke off a 60-something yd. run vs. UT in Knoxville, always wondered why that one never made the highlights. One of our best wins in the Felker era. That was the first time Jack used the phrase "Wrap it in maroon and White" or so I've heard, could be wrong on this.

Auburn 98- Izell MgGill's** 98 yd TD return
Auburn 00- Butler's catch
Bama 96- the final incompletion
Something from TN 91- Watkins catch?
Bama 07- Johnson's Pick 6

Basketball

Any of the final seconds of the 96, 02, or 09 SEC Tourney
Austin's 3 against KY in 03

I don't know if this is in there, but I'd include some of this high points of his post game rertirement announcement after the LSU game this year.

There's a start.

Memphis State after the 98-yard drive in the final 3 minutes. Also, final play of the Snow Bowl.

I know this isn't one of those "big" games of recent years, but if you can get audio of Jack calling Rockey Felker leading MSU on a game-winning 98 yard drive vs Memphis State (around 1974, I think), its one of Jack's best. That was the year we went to the Sun Bowl, I think.

That was the first time I ever actually sat down and listened to MSU football on the radio since I was a hyper 5-year-old. I remember being riveted by Jack's call for that whole drive just like the rest of the family and us all jumping up and celebrating crazy people when we scored.

I bet Spurrier had some good stuff to say after that 2000 beatdown.

I bet the Bear had something complimentary to say after the 1980 game... but I bet something like that would have to be an exert from a newspaper article. You could flash up the text of the comment and after a few seconds of reading time, then you could put up the name of which historical football figure said it.

One thing, though: I think Whit's voice should have some sort of effect added to it, to make it sound a little more full. It sounds like he's speaking into a sony walkman cassette player.

don't ever apologize man. Your stuff is pure gold!

Second, some calls:

Versus UF when Shane Matthews threw his sixth interception
Another Florida, when they snapped it over the QB's head to make it 3rd and 57

Yup... took down 4 of them on my account for a "copyright infringement"... something I have yet to find out as to why, because not ALL of them were taken down... just the 4 with the most views (including the Nick Bell video)

I guess they have a point, since I'm the ONLY one who has ever posted youtube videos using content from SEC games /sarcasm</p>

I've seen several people on here mention Jack's great call of thisgame-winning drive and I think it was referenced in one of the Clarion Ledger articles, too. I was born 11 years later so I haven't heard it. Someone has to have a clip of it. Give it up.</p>

I ask for suggestions because this (as corny as it sounds) is for y'all... I know part of what builds a program is pride and excitment, and I think I've figured out what buttons to push to get that out of everyone...

So I want to know what it is you want to see, hear, etc... and I REALLY hope I can keep doing this for all of you!

the best first.<div>
</div><div>beginning and ending of video was great. ending was perhaps the best of all your videos.i like your motivational style.</div><div>maybe during the part where whit talks about the agony of defeat - have Jack's call on the Sonic Drive of the Game back to Tupelo. That is pure gold comic relief to set up for the big final.</div><div>
</div><div>also consider a steve porter mixup. if the school pays for it only though. hard to do without the right software but would rock the stadium if you could get some players like dixon, norwood, smoot and coaches like polk, jackie, cohen, mullen sound bites. and then mixup jack's "wrap it" sound bite in there. i am telling you this would bring the entire house down. one motivational video like you have already done to start the season and one upbeat one steve porter style for either lsu, bama or ole miss . here is a sample with ray lewis:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0ysMOV8TYU</div><div>

Thevideo I used in all the previous ones was stuffI shot covering the games for the station... our cameraswere all standard definition cameras (not in great shape, either)...

Editing-wise: I have a souped-up15" MacbookPro with Final Cut Express4... I'mgoing to eventually upgrade to Final Cut Studio, which will give me a lot more "toys"...

OH MY!!!!

Man, I wish I could do something like that... I'm going to come up with a different technique or find a "new" way to do things before we get to next season... Don't want to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again with different content and different music...

The narration was my new "gimmick" with this one andI really like how it turned out... so may keep doing something with that, but it sounded like CRAP in the stadium Saturday
