"Some are comparing Morton's standout sophomore defensive tackle to Jerrell Powe. There are several common traits between the two, but the most notable thing they share is their desire to play for Ole Miss."

I've heard the other trait is not being able to read.

Evans had one thing to tell the Ole Miss fans.

"I want to tell them Hotty Toddy. I love that cheer. There is a new breed coming in, and I am going to be a true shark in the tank, and I'm ready to get out. I was born a land shark, and I am looking forward to

Love the hair-do

he is going to be one of the best players to come out of this state in a while.

I hate that we have no shot at him already.

up at ole miss....2 yrs is a long time, but sometimes you're just not going to get a kid. eulls comes to mind...he likes state and if by some stretch he didn't sign with you guys it would be bama, fla lsu...not ole miss. quay is the same way. i frankly find it amazing that so many kids seem to genuinely consider both our schools. maybe the animosity doesn't really kick in till we're alumns but personally if i were doing it today and couldn't go to ole miss there's not a snowballs chance in hell i'd even consider msu. and i expect most of you guys feel the same about ole miss. its no big deal but there are just a few kids along that one of us isn't going to get in the door with.

Looks like the next Ndakong Suh to me. A 10th grader?! I'm glad the staff is building relationships with these elite talents so early. This is the type of young man you build national championships around. Now he needs to get on the phone and tell all other recruits in </div>

The funny part...

The kid admits that he committed to the staff and kept it to himself until yesterday.

So there was in fact a secret commit.

But I guess some of you guys have already figured that out. After all, more of you read Yancy than us.

Yeah because we're so obsessed with Mississippi. What would we do without Mississippi recruiting tidbits by Yancy? I just love reading about Mississippi and trying to put them down since our University sucks so bad.

The kid is a sophomore. He's a true sophomore. I've been watching him play for several years now. He is a very good but very raw player. Just like most young kids, he takes plays off, and the coaching staff at Morton had a hard time "coaching" him once all the publicity came. When we hired Croom, he was a Bulldog fan, but once Hodge went to Ole Miss he changed his tune. Hodge's mother took him to most of their games, his high school coach also took him a couple of times. The kid is a smart kid... He makes the grades in school. I don't believe he's taken the ACT yet, but who knows. Give it another year, and give Alabama or LSU time enough to throw some ducats his way and he'll change his tune...Ole Miss is just the first to show "interest" in him so far...

What you wrote is true, Reb, but you never know. If Nutt and Nix were gone and MSU has a good defensive coordinator when he's a senior, all of a sudden he may be a State fan. Long time to February 2012.

The bizarre part is that he's probably 25 pounds and another tenth of a second from where he'll be as a senior.

He is not stupid people. This kid is the rel deal and is in the right grade. He makes B's in his classes.
He very strong for a tenth grader. I know he maxes out at 370 right now. But quit comparing him to Powe.
He can read and spell his name. The thing he needs to do is quit listening to everyone and the papers tell him how good he is and
just play hard 100% and not take plays off. It makes him look lazy. you see his stats on maxpreps.com . Not to bad for a sophmore
but they could have been allot better.

You have over 1700 post on the 6pack and you're taking a shot at State fans keeping up with UM? Kettle meet pot.
No. I'm laughing at the fact that several posters here joke about what a ridiculous asshat Yancy is, yet they pay him for information.

I know...I know...these guys "borrow" their passwords from their OM friends. Not one of you pays for the info.
