Shempert is juco bound (ICC) if my memory serves me. What happened with

Taylor Stark? I remember he left but can't remember why or where. Think he could've gotten a lot of innings on the hill this year.

I'm not sure about the whole lot of the freshman class... but I fully expect Jacob Robson to have a tremendous year. I'm setting the bar high, so I'll probably be disappointed later... but I'm expecting him to be in the freshman all-american discussion. I hope I'm not wrong.

Kyle Hann should also be a quality role player for us this year, if he doesn't redshirt. Heard great things about both of these guys during fall practice.

I am not baseball expert, Todd will be your guy to listen to on this, but we really don't redshirt a whole lot if baseball

Last year we rs brayden jones, tanner gaines, preston brown, and nick flair (because of injury)

I don't see Robson, Hann, Garner, Shelly, or Gentry redshirting, I expect these guys to play a good bit.

We do have 5 ss/2b so we could rs hann, but when guys can leave after 3 years ...there really is no benefit in rs'ing him

I shot 3 scrimmages one weekend near the end of fall ball, and being down there shooting pictures and stuff it's hard to really pay attention to individual players, but Robson is going to be a good one.....he just consistently did things that make you notice him....and the kid can get down the baseline. If I remember right, he had some really really low numbers on his home to first times.

Odd thing that has probably never happened at State. They had the PA system running the weekend that I shot games and were announcing batters and defensive changes.....we batted Hann and Robson back to back.....MSU Baseball has surely never batted back to back canadians in the lineup before.

Someone much more in tune with our program than me, told me Hann will be seeing significant playing time by mid year at 3rd.
