He's at 89 mph and sub 2.00 seconds from the catcher's box at 16 years old...
He also tied for 8th in highschool homeruns nationally...as an underaged Jr...

My only fear is that some of these guys just may be "too elite"...

That is true. My hope is that some of these guys would rather go to college than toil away in A ball or rookie league for a couple years. Three years in college and they have a crack at starting at AA or spending much less time at A ball. The flip side is that they would be in A ball as millionaires.
It's really, really early to be worried about it...
I feel excellent about our catching situation in the future though with or without this guy... Got some absolutely elite talent lined up at the position.
This is another guy we are chasing in the soph class. Has been allegedly very close to committing to us for awhile. He plays for jr TeamUSA with Luke Alexander and a couple of our other commitments...
Fast fwd to about 1:40 and watch the catcher. Seems like the type of guy with the perfect mentality to play for Cohen IMO..

That said, I noticed where MaxPreps now has him as the #2 soph in Georgia and #13 in the country -- so him actually showing up in college may be a reach at this point...
