2014 LSU Game

This felt like that in reverse. This game was nowhere near as competitive as the final score suggests.

Huh??? We were in this until 54's brain fart. And, sorry, that's not on the coaching staff--54 is a college player that should know that rule inside and out.

We moved the ball up and down the field all day long. Just couldn’t finish off drives in the first half. Our first three drives in the red zone resulted in three total points. Even if we just kick three field goals, we win.

We out gained them by 150 years and Had the ball for 11 more minutes. This team just finds ways to lose harder than I’ve ever seen. We make Jr. High mistakes that constantly costs us the game

You are going to see that all season long. If teams drop 8 and Rogers dumps it off, it will be easy pickings until you get to the redzone. The field compresses and nothing is open.

Explosive plays are how this offense is built to score, unfortunately those only happen in the last 10 minutes of the game down by 3 scores. I'm not at the games, but I have seen enough comments from those that are... Those plays are available down field earlier in the game, but the ball isn't thrown.

Do you seriously think LSU let’s us just dink & dunk down the field for those last 2 TDs without an 18-point lead. We scored 15 points but their plan worked perfectly as we ran the clock out on ourselves by taking almost 8 minutes to do it.

He should have never tested it. Even though to me it looks like he tried to leap through the gap. Which IS allowed if you read the whole rule book:

It is a foul if a defensive player who is inside the tackle box tries to block a punt or an apparent punt by leaving their feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent.
1. It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight
up without attempting to leap over the opponent.
2. It is not a foul if a player leaps through or over the gap between players.

Still... need to have the awareness that the officials won't give you the benefit of the doubt.

Do you really think that was the plan Coach O had? The score was 21-10 when the specialty team penalty occurred with about 13 minutes in the 4th Quarter.. We were very much in the game until that point.
