Kyle, any word on how negotiations are going with Comcast? It looks like they're going to try to play hardball with the SEC.

The last CC cust. service rep. I talked to didn't even know what the hell the SECN was. This could very well be CC's final act of arrogance as my cable provider.

Comcast needs the SECN too. They're going to lose more customers if they don't have it than just about any other network out there.

you know this is going to last until two days before, or maybe three weeks in, like every TV negotiation does. And not near as many people will go through the hassle of switching immediately, hell, I can watch a game or two at a friends, or at a bar.

Just checked and found out I can finally get U-Verse. And it's cheaper than what I'm currently paying for Comcast, even after the $70/mo 12-month discount expires. Looks like it's not going to affect me one way or the other if/when Comcast finally adds the SECN.

ATT U-verse

I had Comcast and changed to ATT U-verse. In my opinion, the ATT U-verse is a vastly superior product to Comcast. ATT is already on board with the SECN.

not available 1 mile from AT&T original headquarters... If I were to switch I'd go the one who has Sunday ticket, but are you locked into a two year contract? My cable company, Grand, says their negotiating, but we'll see. I don't want to lose my 75MBps internet.

DirecTv will announce but in the event that they dont, it just gives me more of an excuse to go to the bar.

Could it be that Comcast is waiting to see how their Bid to buy Time Warner works out before they commit to the SECN?

AT&T just announced a plan to bid for Directv, so if these Conglomerates are formed, the SECN/ESPN may be the ones who have to give a little.

Of course, AT&T already has an agreement via UVerse which I changed to from Directv a month ago. Not as many channels as my Directv package, but the HD is better and I pay about $90 per month less having Internet/Phone/TV combined rather than separate. I also got an additional discount on Cell Phone service with AT&T by going with UVerse.

Because that makes this whole conversation moot.

I'm under the impression that the SECNetwork will get a mirror app that works identically to watchESPN(if not as an extension of the watchESPN app) -- in that it takes pre-approved providers in order to be able to view the content...
