Tell me this you Private guys...is it better to coach a a suburban school with 2k-4k kids and a deep talent pool, or at a smaller private school?

I'm sure it comes down to the commitment to the program, but overall, are the perks better at Private? Do you get paid more because you are not constrained by the District pay structure?

I know at GW, the union contract sets flat fees for HC of any sport to be something like 18% of salary. Do Private schools generally pay more than that?

At a Private school you do not need to rely on who gets off the bus and really are in control of your roster and how you want to play. Obviously the downside is the finances and facilities but it has been proven time and again that a private school has the better chance to maintain success over a longer period of time in high school football. Size of the school does not matter in most instances if there is commitment in the program by the schools powers that be.

This could be a decent job and not long ago they were decent but they have lost 29 in a row so it will be a complete rebuild. On the positive side they play Joilet Central and their 51 game losing streak next year.

Has anyone from up the Rockford area heard anything on Boylan. I haven't just wondering if there any rumblings. I think the North win might have saved some jobs, for now. But have to think the seat there is getting rather warm.
