So from 2014, which 8A qualifiers are trending out and which large schools look to get into the playoffs in 2015 with new conference alignment?

Taft aint making it in this year ill tell you that much. Will be interesting to see who falls into 8A/7A though as it looks like Simeon is on the cusp

So with the Valleys joining the DVC it looks like the trend is for some of the traditional 8A schools in the UEC (Glenbard East, South Elgin, Aurora West?) now making the playoffs at the expense of some of the traditional 7A schools in the DVC (WN, WWS, GN (now 7A)).

Trending too add Marist, Sandburg, Conant, Lake Park?, Leyden?? to 8A field.
Subtracting Taft and Niles West, which other 2014 8A playoff schools might not be back in 2015?

So, maybe add 5-6 new 8A schools and subtract 2.

Looks like GW is trending towards a 7A playoff seeding in 2015 and possibly joined by Simeon and MS(?).

One of the more intriguing options was posited by Wild Mustang is that DGS runs the table (they will be favored in all but a toss up vs WB) and finishes 6-3 and pushes yet another down from 8A to 7A. MS now seems to be the cut team. It would be fun to get them down in 7A with we mortals from GW.

8A is mixes bag, if GBW wants bragging rights they need to be in 8A. But as Cap says how can our talent starved team play against the greatest team ever. Sorry cap I batched that up but will get you a beer at Tap House.

Cheers jd. I'm sure our boys will show up and play where we are told. If it is 8A, we will do our best to keep up with all those high powered 8A teams. If we run into Homer Flosswood, we will try to keep it within six TDs. We will ask Domer to be gentle. We will make no excuses and yes, we will drown our sorrows in a bucket of brew.

So much to be learned over the next three weeks. If we escape this stretch in tact, who knows...maybe we can make it interesting.
