I would have said Barry HS, but then reconsidered figuring that had more pure all-state candidates than anyone in IL IMHO
Also, special shout out Coach Appino at Auburn for showing a ton of class and visiting the GW player who had to stay in the hospital last week. It meant a lot to GW parents and the kid. He is obviously building a very special program that will be hell bent for years to come.
or Maybe Coach A for messing up the Ihsa thought of success factor to even things out.

While I appreciate the effort to keep a championship team focused, the cupboard wasn't exactly barren. You might even recognize a potential NFL player on their roster who lives in your house.

We lost some very quality players from last this year! Coach Racki has done a heck of a job getting the younger guys ready. They had to step into some big shoes. Very proud of this team no matter the outcome Saturday!

Splitt palatine. Did it all with 15-16 starters that were juniors or sophomores.
This CG homer is giving some love to Coach Seaburg. A return to the semis a year after going the finals, with 80% juniors at starting positions, was not a small feat.

6A: Mike Barry (Hinsdale South)...Yes, this is a homer vote, but I have been on the staff for three years. I know the turnaround that has taken place. Coach Barry has changed the culture in his short tenure. This season he took a 13 seed to the semifinals and was 3 points away from a state championship berth.
7A: Mike Kohl (Bradley-Bourbonnais)
8A: Pat Dunne (Marist)

Edgy, I have only 2 opinions here: Mike Barry and Dan Appino. Two coaches that are building programs, young men, and communities. These are 2 important guys in illinois HS football.
