This is a big pick up.

Think about Missouri's size at WR this year combined with a good dual threat QB and great defense. That's what we will be in the coming years. DeRunnya, Shelby Christy, Jay Johnson, Joe Morrow, BJ Hammond, etc. All guys 6'3 and taller. Combine that with our TE's and Slot guys over the middle and we are putting together a pretty good offensive threat.

2015 is setting up to possibly be our best recruiting year ever.

Excellent pick up, he'll likely be a 4star

That puts us at 4 commits and four 4stars. We're ranked number 11 right now, we'll move to number 7 or 8 once 247 ranks him. It is indeed probably going to be our best class yet, and if we can take advantage of the schedule next year and over achieve, we could actually beat Ole Miss in something other than on the field competition***

Gained a 90 4* rating from 24/7 today -- although it hasn't been added to the actual numbers yet. Another very good pickup for what's taken a turn into looking like it could be a pretty good class...

Has anyone seen this kid in action first hand? I would be curious to get some eye witness perspective. I think that the staff has kicked up the recruiting a notch given Ole Miss's recent recruiting successes. I also think burning the red shirts may have helped our recruiting as many high school recruits want the opportunity to play right away.

Bruce has traditionally been an OM school

Johnny Armstrong, Fred Thomas, & Armegis Spearman all went to UM. Not sure if they've had many other D-1 recruits other than that (Armstrong's brother did play in the NFL for a while, but he went the NWCC/Richmond Spider route). Will have to check with some of my homeboys to see what they think of him.

Bruce is definitely a traditionally OM town deep in OM territory -- but it seems this kid may have grown up a MSU fan judging by how quickly he bit on our offer without waiting to hear from them. Now that he's got 4 stars by his name, they'll probably be coming after him pretty hard though.

The good thing

is (him being from Bruce) money won't be an option, with money growing on trees and whatnot there.

Although he went to Water Valley in HS, we did get Eric Allen (his dad coached at Bruce & played at Bruce I think; believe he coached against us - Calhoun City - when I was in Jr High).
