So who would be your 2016 IHSA Player of the Year candidates? Below are some of the names I'm keeping an eye on right now....yet just look at several of the Top ranked teams and you'll find yourself having to really search hard to find names. Post your worthy candidate.

If Hinsdale South ends up having a big year, HS LB/RB Curry will be a big part of that.

Top 3-5 player GW faced last year.and they faced some really good ones.

If Oles leads Palatine to the season some expect, he'll be deserving.

That said, a weaker class of candidates.

If he's Borlandish then he's the real deal... I'm trying to get a pipeline from Darien to The Brook started...

Brook has a Mack truck in that backfield. That big dude was pounding the rock last night. GW was worn down in the 4th and that line and big RB were the reason.

Borland had better hands but Curry is really tough. Not looking forward to Friday night

An awesome game is an awesome game, no matter what. Come on, it's not like OEHS has an O-Line full of D-1 players. Ivory is SPECIAL

Ivory is a very special kid and I wish nothing but the best for him. He is a great kid. But he is expected to that against teams like Joliet West!

And he deserves to be considered in the running for Player of the Year! So don't take my comments wrong because I am a fan. I just don't buy into the garbage games. I seen him play for the last 3 years and I expect games like this from him. He is a stud!

Garbage games? JT West was 4-5 last year and 5-5 in 2014, while playing in a very good large school conference (Southwest Suburban Blue). There are many teams worse than JT West in IL. You might want to chose your words more carefully.

You are right. 5-4 and 5-5 is not garbage. Wrong choice of words- what about mediocre! is that better? LOL
Please don't take my postings personal. I was complimenting IVO by saying that those stats are expected from him against MEDIOCRE teams. That's what studs do. Didn't mean to offend Joliet West as I actually follow their basketball team and expect them to compete for STATE Championship in Basketball!
