He had a full ride to Illinois on a wrestling scholarship. He was a once in a generation football player, but an even better wrestler.
Dergo was great, but "Once in a generation" is a stretch. Matt Perez was better.

That's fair enough. I guess my point is both are the best players their HS's have produced and are once in a generation players for their respective schools, but not the Chicagoland area as a whole. They are in the same ballpark. I saw both play live, and both dominated at a level rarely seen.

@Wassup13I'm going with Evans, then Rowell.
Anyone have final 2016 stats on these two?
Rowell is a senior.@Wassup13
Samson Evans
2211 Rushing Yards - 9.7 YPC
787 Passing Yards
43 Rushing TD's, 14 Passing TD's, 2 Kick Off Return TD's
Jordan Rowell
2295 Rushing Yards
40 TDs
Crazy that both these guys are only Juniors this year.
sometime it's like that in HS. Don't have to be a college prospect to be a great HS player. Coulda said the same thing about Chuck Long... Until Hayden Fry showed up.Dergo looks like a nice back, but how good could he really be if no one offered him in football?
