Nice little sale on some legit usda prime beef. I've tried most of these, the 14 oz strip and the 8oz filets were my favorite.

It finally died after years of abuse. Had a couple big cracks and I left it outside. Dead.Is your thermopen broken?
If not, why would you buy a cheaper one when you already have the more expensive one that is a little bit faster?
The filet on the front page is WAY overcooked. Shew.
15lbs of butt about to be finished. Don't think I could get any more on a medium. Large is just around the corner. Talked to a guy yesterday at a green egg dealer that offered to sell me a large that he bought last fall with his bil. Said they only used it about 5 times. Sounds like he's got a lot of the goodies for it as well that go with the sale. $500. Didn't think to ask but I hope he bought a digi Q.
The lack of size and accessories is holding me back with the medium. I'm a peacock, I gotta fly.
Speaking of expensive weber stuff, I'd like to get a closer look at one of these. I think they're around 1700$![]()
Yeah, I just think for that $$ you can do much better. It's a weber summit charcoal. I balked at the price too, but it does have some new features. The kettle is double walled, its got a hinged lid and it's much bigger than the standard kettle. I've been cooking on the same weber performer for 13 years and I feel like I could get another 13 out of it but... my eye is starting to wander a bit. That burner is just for starting the charcoal
Takes my charcoal grill 10 minutes to get to temp. Takes my neighbors has grill 10 minutes to get to temp.

Buy a webber and a blow torch.
Probably dome temp but not to get your cooking surface ready. They really need 10 or so minutes at least unless you just want to throw meat on cool grates.FYI used my Weber Genesis first time over weekend and it took less than 3 min to get to 400 deg
