College sports are a fun hobby and can serve as a useful escape from the everyday grind but some of us aren't trying to relive their high school glory days on the field.For me, the athletic programs simply serve as a vehicle to remain connected to the university, a place I really care about, and allow me opportunities to maintain old relationships. I always want the teams to do well, mostly for the players, staff and students - but their successes don't impact my life.</blockquote>
