You are correct. But will sort of be East vs west for next year. Region A & B play down do a winner, and they face the winner coming out of RegionsC vs D. But only for next year. The following year Two different Regions pair up for a winner, say A vs C, and B vs D. And different pairings the third year before it repeats.

Another difference is the name change for the six classes. Gone is 1a and so forth. It will now be Class 1. Class 2, etc.

So I guess east vs west will basically become ancient history soon. But what will we ***** about? That Region D has better athletes than Region A? Or was that Region E is better than Region Z? I'm so confused. I think I'll just go have a drink!

Have the number of teams that qualify for the playoffs for each region been decided? In "old" days in Region A it was 4 which was way too restrictive.

I am not sure it has been officially decided upon, but the talk was 8 teams per region. I'm sure a lot of things are still being discussed. I doubt that anything will be official until spring.

Since the Regions will be matched up differently each year, I think it's safe to assume that 8 teams per Region will have to be universal.
