Fall sports, defined as Season 2, would start practice on Feb. 15, with the first competition held March And the preliminary plan includes football postseason.

State quarterfinals would be eliminated in volleyball, and only the regional champions advance to the state tournament.


In football, regional quarterfinals would be eliminated and the top four teams from each region advance to postseason play. Regional semifinals would start April 9 and regional champions must be crowned by April 17. The state semifinals would take place April 24 and the state championship games are slated for May 1.

@EPJr, thanks for the link. Overall it’s not horrible but limits multi-sport athletes a little. For football players that play baseball it’s a bad situation if the football team makes a deep playoff run if that player is a key cog on the diamond. It’s the best we can hope for I suppose so we will see how it goes.
