I hope that Harrar has an amazing array of career paths when he gets done playing basketball. I think one of those options will be coaching, and I think he’d be great at it.

Pomeroy gives us an 11.5% chance of it.

At this point, my goal over the final 6 is to avoid having to play on Wednesday at the Big Ten tournament…to do so, we need to be the 10 seed or better. We’d very likely accomplish that by beating Minnesota, Northwestern, and Nebraska (all at home).

We have to finish .500 in order to be considered for an NIT bid. Would consider an NIT bid to be a successful end of the season.

It does appear that this changed in 2017. I did just read an article about the penn states chance at 2022 NIT that said you had to be .500, and when you challenged my comment I found that Wikipedia said you need to be .500.

I can state with absolute certainty that a .500 record is not a requirement. However, as a practical matter, if you are below .500 your chances of being selected to the NIT are virtually zero.
It won't matter. Penn State will not get an NIT bid. They will win the BigTen tournament and make the Big Dance. Trust me. I know stuff. 🙂
