Lady Lions came from down 21 points halfway through the third quarter to beat Syracuse by 13 points tonight. Syracuse, a bad three-point shooting team, hit its first six treys and the Lady Lions played like they just finished an overstuffed Thanksgiving dinner. No defensive effort and helter skelter offense in the first half, they could not have played worse.

Penn State caught fire halfway through the third quarter, Syracuse shooting returned to mean, and the Lady Lions claimed a remarkable comeback to open the season 5-0 and give the Orange its first loss. Contributions from across the roster tonight. Freshman PG Shay Ciezki is an emerging star.

This is a nice story.....young lady has overcome quite a bit....and seems to be talented.... a four time all state guard? Fairly impressive.

That is a total lack of coaching composure. Also a very, very poor call. It looked like a Coach Chambers loss tonight.

It's tough to win on the road in the B1G and the Lady Lions were positioned to do so tonight until that incredibly stupid foul 80 feet from the basket with 0.5 second to play put the Gophers on the foul line, where they shot 28 of 32. Lots of clutch shots by both teams and a very intense game, but dumb plays and misses from the charity stripe torpedoed what should have been a win for Penn State. Minnesota's three highly ranked freshman played lights out and Makenna Marisa had 34 points for us.

Anyone hear anything on the injury status of Alli Campbell? She went out with some kind of leg injury against Indiana and wasn't in today's box score against WVU.
