2022 Fargo is underway. The below article talks about some of the best matches that took place in day 1. I don't imagine too many folks had Bo Bassett getting upset on Day 1.

Wow. How about PA 120 Bo Bassett getting pinned by Kentucky's Jordyn Raney in the Round of 32? Was this a huge upset? It was 7-6 before Raney locked up the pin.

Google exists for questions like that.

The finals in Junior FS have not yet taken place. Barr made it to the finals, where he'll face Rocco Welsh (Waynesburg, PA)
10-4. I’ll check it out. Thanks Tom. You do an outstanding job.

The Raney brothers out of Kentucky are no joke...the 106 pounder took state champ Aaron Seidel to the woodshed, winning 15-4. Bassett will end up outplacing the kid who pinned him, as Gage Botero (PA) beat him in the consi semis 12-10. Bassett beat Sam Herring in the consi semis and will face Botero for 3rd.

Update...Botero beat Bassett for 3rd...the 106 pound Raney beat an Illinois freshman state champ to win it. The kid took out state champs from 3 different states to win Fargo.

Two losses for Bo ... I wonder when the last time that happened to him in a tournament.

Makes you wonder if he was healthy...maybe the field is catching him a bit or maybe it was just a bad weekend for him. He'll bounce back for sure.

Or maybe that he needs to diversify his offense. He was pretty reliant on the snap down go behind.

Also, the Raney match showed some vulnerability to length and quickness.
