Man, it don’t get no hotter than the CBP crowd putting this team on its back and willing it to an offensive explosion. The team is so emotional. Not bad emotional, but plays the postseason game with the crowds emotion.

7-0, Phillies, through 6 innings.

Gibson is in pitching for the Phillies. He was a possible starter in a later game if the Fightins had to use Syndergaard in tonight's game.

Once again, Nelson not inspiring a lot of confidence. Bregman was so, so close to a solo HR against him

he hasn't pitched a lot in the postseason. my guess is they didn't want him to throw too many pitches.

7-0 lead, and not having to use Seranthony, Alvarado, Richardson, or Eflin (so far), lets you manage a bit differently.

Man that rain-out was huge. The Phil’s staff is the weaker of the two, but that extra day of rest helped reset it for 3 games at home. YUGE

Bellatti in for the 9th inning. I don't think anybody would have predicted that a week ago, a month ago, a ... (in a game the Phils were winning).

Alvarado and Seranthony both warmed up tonight, but neither pitched in the game.

Between the postponement due to rain, and tonight's performance by the Phils' bats (and Ranger on the mound), the weaknesses the Phils have with the starting pitching and the bullpen have been somewhat minimized.
