A couple innings left but I wonder how many times a game has ended 1-0 with the lone run coming from a homer on the first pitch of the game. Hopefully we won't find out if the Phils put a few more on the board.

Alvarerez gets a single for the Astros with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Oh well.
OK, so the perfecto and the no-no are gone, but GREAT STOTT! Phils up 2-0, then a SCHWARBOMB!, 3-0 after back-to-back jacks.
BrewCrew get leadoff HR. Still down 4-2, none out bottom 9.

EDIT: Phils three outs away, up 3-0 thru 8. DBacks spit the bit and now in extra innings vs. BrewCrew.

Nola looked so good tonight too. Wheeler has looked great the past two outings. I can't help but dream boys. I need a beer.
Nola picked a heck of time to have his best command all season.
A great job managing the game tonight. Taking Nola (who had a 2 hitter going) out for Alvarado with 2 men on in the 6th leading 1-0 with 2 outs was brilliant as they got the strike out to get out of the inning, and then bringing in Eflin of all people for his first save of the year in the 9th for a 1-2-3 inning to finish the game. These were great managerial decisions.
So happy this team made it! This team has moxie! I dare to dream of more with this pitching staff in the Post Season! Let's Go!!
