Vindication on why the ACC, AAC and others rejected OSU's application to join them after the PAC-12 imploded? Those conferences knew that OSU was a weak sister compared to the other conference teams.
OSU is without numerous key players, including QB, and half their coaching staff. ND with many opt outs too, but they are way deeper than OSU. I wouldn't judge them by this game today.

Devyn Ford with a 19-yard run for nd. They just said that he is the #4 running back today for nd. They had an opt-out for this game, which means that Ford had been #5. Egad.

yeah, it's unfortunate for Oregon St. They lost their coach, they lost their QB, a bunch of other guys hit the portal after the coach left, etc.
Does not augur well for the future of bowls. With depleted rosters and (coaching staffs), lots of fans will think twice about whether to travel ng distances to watch their precious teams. Will have a ripple (maybe a tidal wave in some cases) effect through the economics of these games.

I believe that you’re imparting too much intelligence to the masses, and denigrating our Nation’s hucksters. I’ll bet some slicker down in the Deep South is already planning on launching another bowl game next year. Land a sponsor or two, snare a TV contract, and you’ve made some real walking around money. And longevity isn’t a goal.

Will be interesting to see what, if any, effect this has on the expanded playoffs? Will coaches with better offer abandon their teams yo get on with building their new programs? How about players, now confronting the prospect of 3-4 more games instead of two (better start ramping up that NIL money generator!)?

I would not want to be Liberty. I believe Oregon feels they are second best team in country and UW may be #1.

I guess if UW loses to UT it could take a little wind out of their sales, but if UW beats UT, may really fire up Ducks to make an example of Liberty.

I see no chance of an upset or close game here.

Will their mascot, Emu, be at the game?

We’re going to find out tonight if there is major dysfunction within the O$U program.

Will be interesting to see. They are also 1 play away from being the undefeated #1 seed in the playoffs.

edit, I should‘t say 1 play, I was thinking about the pick to end the ”game”, but they still needed to score. My point is they are very good.

Much rather go to the state wash and state O game down the road. (just confirmed with 1 n 2 we’re all going)

Two favorable ball spots for OSU

OSU, like Iowa, is good at gradually flipping field position via their punting game.

You mean like signaling for a fair catch at the 9 yard line, actually catching it at the 5, and getting it spotted on the 9? You mean favorable spots like that?

OSU better get Brown out of the game. He's basically a crash test dummy for Mizzou's defense since he can't move with that ankle injury and he's getting leveled and will suffer an even worse injury at this rate.

Ryan Day must be questioning the harsh conversation he had with McCord following the loss to scUM.
