I believe Carr lost to Ramirez from Cornell! That could push him to the 4 seed with Ramirez getting the 2 or 3 seed. Keegan O'Toole , Mitch Mesenbrink, Julian Ramirez , David Carr, and Dean Hamiti. Just a though.....................
Agree with that rationale, plus Ramirez and Mitch won their conference tourneys.

When I was watching this live all I could think of at the end when Hamiti was bellied out was he was Messenbroken.
He was not the first and will not be the last.

While I watched the match live, and have watched the video several times, going from memory I think that Mitchell's TD/NF in the 3rd period was only the 2nd legitimate shot Hamiti had taken. He caught Mesenbrink with a nice ankle pick (which he followed with good speed to get the TD when Mesenbrink tried to spin and kick away) in the 1st period. All the other TDs that Hamiti got were on counters or defense by Hamiti on Mesenbrink's shots. So Hamiti shoots in the 3rd period, and Mesenbrink countered and got the win. That was the most entertaining final for me at the B1G Tourney.

Yeah, it seems like 'it just doesn't matter' is this year's version of 'just here to have fun' or 'chop wood, carry water.'

Makes me think they must have watched 'Meatballs' on the bus ride down.

Imma keep saying it...Nolf 2.0! Nolf 2.0! Nolf 2.0! ...at the very least due to his constant high scoring pressure. God, he is so darned much fun to watch!

I might order them differently, but it's good to get another person's perspective.

We didn’t lose at all with Kasak. He scored 16.5 team points more than ably filling for SVN. 149 should be VERY interesting next season. Maybe Kasak RS’s a takes a year to develop?
Kasak did a good job, but to say that PSU didn't lose at all with SVN sidelined is an overstatement. SVN was a national title contender; Kasak is not at that level.

Van Ness probably would not have been favored versus Gomez or Lovett. Kasak had 2 pins, so I don't think there would have been much difference at big tens. National may be a different story.

Kasak lost to Lovett 4-0. Can you say with Certainty that SVN would beat Lovett or Gomez? Remember Gomez just beat Nick Lee 22-12 in the Olympic qualifier. I’d say Van Ness COULD beat them. Would he? I don’t know. SVN lost to Gomez once last year (6-2) & 3 times to Max Murin. I’d say SVN could have scored higher than Kasak. Then again, maybe not. 16.5 is a heck of a performance.

I think SVN could have won nationals. But long way from could have and would have.

SVN was a monster who was ready to blow up nationally... you could see it in Cael and hear it in his voice when he first talked about the injury. It was a bad day for PSU wrestling but SVN will return next year and Kasak has completely exceeded all or any expectations but then he is a DT protégé.

My nitpicking (admittedly) is that you said, "We didn’t lose at all with Kasak." Your statement implied that SVN would not have won, yet you admit above that SVN "could" have won.

SVN was at another level at nationals last year and looked fantastic this fall.

At nationals my money would be on SVN, hands down.

You heard it here first; Kasak gets the elusive first TD vs Lovett, he wins nationals.

You think Davis, Kasak and Messenbrink wrestled good this weekend??????? Big Tens was an appetizer……..the feast is about to be served.
