I really hope Fangio has a plan not to let Watson look like Peyton Manning on Sunday. The Eagles D (for the most part) has been the perfect elixir for average QBs to look great.
I’ve been thinking about the TB game a lot. At least offensively. That eagles team reminded me a bit of the 2001-2003 eagles. You know, the pinkston/thrash eagles. Good TE (Chad Lewis), good RB (prime Duce) and absolute garbage at WR. And by comparison, the WRs against TB were WRs with Splenda compared to pinkston/thrash. Give Hurts anything at WR and it’s a much closer game (if not a win).
And let’s not look past that falcons loss. Second cousins has them playing really well. And we were a dropped pass away from winning that game. This team could be 3-1 possibly 4-0. I know I know… they’re not. But I think in typical eagles fan fashion, people are wildly overreacting and all up in their emotions like my 4-year-old daughter. This team was banged up at serious positions. We needed the early bye. I have faith.

I agree. Jeff Lurie isn't Woody Johnson in terms of firing everyone, but lose this game and it's going to be a tough road to the playoffs for this expectation-laden team.
Certainly is. Otoh I trust our backup OL more than I trust our backup receivers
That’s my take. You can’t expect lane to hold his block for >5 seconds every time, and that’s what you’d need for those C-tier WRs to get open. I trust his backup to hold for <5 seconds while AJ and Smitty run their routes and hurts throws trust throws.
as I said somewhere on here, I like out back up OL better than I like our back up receivers. I think they should go with Johnson at LT, I think we have seen Becton at LT with the NY Jets and that wasnt always good.
Playing Johnson at LT is the most logical next step. See if that's workable for a couple of games before tinkering and potentially disrupting things more.
