I didn't think Coach Schumacher-Cawley would be able to get back to elite status this quick after taking over for Russ Rose. Being the father of only daughters(all involved in sports) I love it when women sports accomplish great things. Just like Coach said in her interview that she was grateful for the women that came before her and paved the way to make this possible, we are grateful as well. What an awesome run and another Nat Championship!!

Going into the Final Four, many experts expected pitt vs. nebby in the championship matchup. Moreover, pitt was expected by many to win it all. pitt athletic supporters had to love their chances of winning a first ncaa championship. They must have dreamt of beating Penn State for the title.

It didn’t quite work out for pitt. It never does.

I know, I know. pitt lives in my head RENT.-FREE. o_O . RIVALRY. o_O

The below was posted on Pitt Volleyball Twitter after they swept us in September. They were slobbering all over themselves. Turned out it was their highlight of 2024 which they can always hang their hats on. PSU will take the big prize and be happy with that.....

Interestingly, over on their board (it's ok, I followed decon procedures), there was a post saying that talent, coaching and favorable calls can't overcome "Pitting", which extends beyond football.

Someone can write a book about "that time they swept Penn State in volleyball"

Ehhhh……. I hate sPitt as much as the next, but you can be damn sure that Penn State media would have done the same thing if we had swept them back in September.
