A lot of that was due to some early season losses which the ACC under performed. But the league grew as the season went along, and teams were peaking at the right time. Would be nice to have an ACC team in the final four, but the disparity between the number one seeds and the rest is astronomical.

Also- other way you can look at it is….. load up on cupcakes like lots of BIG 10 and SEC teams do and pad your NET for quad 1 opportunities in conf. These are non-conf SOS rankings and would be a Q1 win anywhere. Edit- added other conf too

-#159 Ole Miss
-#180 Minnesota
-#219 Michigan State
-#235 Washington

These would be a Q1 win on the road:
-#201 Alabama
-#212 Oklahoma State
-#225 Iowa State
-#243 Nebraska
-#281 Oregon
-#301 Illinois
-#309 Mississippi State
-#333 UGA

ND has a comfortable lead up 16 with 1 min left

So let's make it 13-3 for the ACC with Cuse vs UConn ( 😁 ) the only round 2 game remaining tonight. The ACC has 5 Sweet Sixteen teams (6 if Cuse pulls off a miracle)

The ACC won the only three upsets in the tourney so far (at least two seeding ranks between the two teams).

Hopefully, this will be the last year for Geno, but yet he has an assistant who's doing pretty well at Vanderbilt, who could step in after he retires.

The ACC has 5 teams in the sweet sixteen. This makes our conference look very good, and our teams beat some of them at their place. Way to represent the conference. I am so proud of all the ACC teams that will be moving on. Go Heels and Go ACC!

Exactly. And I’ve been joking all season that we shouldn’t be surprised if Blakes and Galvan follow her. With those two, SS, and Quinonez (not to mention that incoming top post recruit), they’d pretty much have the next couple of NCs on lock.

Hard to imagine a 67-12 lead. I really hope the Heels play enough to give them some decent competition. Might play a really good name and still lose by 25.
Agree. It's the number one seeds and everyone else.

Yet, anything is possible. All it takes in one bad game, 1.

Putting the UCONN victory margin over Syracuse in perspective they were playing at home, and no way will any team be able to keep up. The game against Carolina will be on a neutral court, which most of the fans wants an upset, which could be an advantage for Carolina. Then on the other hand, there are a lot of UCONN fans out there, and they travel well.
If we are able to keep the game close and only lose by a single digit, it will be statement for the program considering we are one of the youngest teams in the nation.

Game times have been posted on the NCAA women's bracket. Our game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of ND/Vandy which starts at 2:30; so the earliest possible start time for us will be 5:00 PM Friday 27 March.

Let's Go Tar Heels!!

No that did not. Geno is smart. It took his starters out after the game was pretty much decided and rested them for our game coming up on Friday. He played his bench after the game was decided. That is what great teams do.
