Very lethargic at times and it looked like they hadn’t played in a while. Thankfully, Rice was hot in the first half and then overall they got their act together in the second.
Probably gonna lose my 30 to Illinois later this week and then again to Michigan and Purdue, but if they can keep those close, maybe they can get a couple upsets later in the month.

The first question that any major university will ask themselves is: What is his winning percentage.
They will take the high road and get rid of him if they wanted to fire him anyway…otherwise, they will look the other way way.

I looked it up, it was bad. Notre Dame guy didn't touch him on the three. Regardless, the made three ties it, so makes one wonder why ND didn't foul once the ball entered the front court.
This game will be over quick. Not even to the first TV timeout and Rhodes has to use one of his own. The Illinois team is much more skilled and should win the game by double digits, but Penn State giving very little effort. loose balls and no one getting on the floor
Effort was significantly better after Coach called the timeout four minutes in. Blackwood played his best game of the year and if the team could just hit some outside shots a little bit more consistently they might’ve had a chance. Few times with around six minutes to go they had open threes that could’ve cut it to five but Didn’t make any.
Man, I hope they get Mingos brother because with a year of experience and then getting a true scorer from the way, this team could make some waves next year

The effort was much better tonight.
- PSU out rebounded by 11.
- Jurcic continues to get pushed around. IMO the worst thing that can happen is if he makes a 3. That gives him the confidence to keep shooting.
- Ciani played a little better.
- I kept thinking Stewart just needed a couple of shots to fall to get him on a roll this season but I'm losing hope. I have no idea how he's shooting 40% from 3 because I haven't noticed. Must be that he hits a couple of meaningless 3s after the game is out of reach.
- Announcer was right about Mingo. He'll be tough once he starts hitting from the perimeter.
- Blackwood gave a nice spark until he got into foul trouble.
- Dilione has been great from mid range this year but Illinois took that away tonight
Agree on pretty much all of that. Their big euros are better than our big euros. Stuart had a couple games so far where he was three for three from deep skewing a percentage a little bit, but if he and some of the other guys are going to play the minutes they are, they have to be able to knock down shots at a more consistent rate.
