Wow, Cerrato, Wiebusch and DiMarsico sweep the first three weeks, and all on the same line. It’s a shame the merch shop at Pegula only carries one jersey number currently.

And speaking of the only player merch available in Pegula…

After watching the first six games, he has amazing vision and speed. However, he is now playing with bigger, older bodies constantly banging on him. He will adjust, and we will be the better for it. Plus as the writer and even Guy said yesterday, he’s putting in the weight room work, so let’s just wait and see what happens. The real games begin 10/30.

GOOoOoOoOoOalll! That man again, DiMarsico, shortly after a PP expired. 1-0!

Finally a clean period with no penalties. PP is 0-2 thus far. Shots 13-6. Fleming opens the weekend in goal. IIRC, he hasn’t given up a goal in 5+ periods.

Misa absolutely robbed on a save worthy of SC Top 10.

Skyhawks make their own luck and tie it up. And just like that, the bouncing puck again shines on the Skyhawks. 2-1 in a matter of 30 seconds or so.

Another PP wasted. End of second and the Lions trail the Skyhawks 2-1.

GOoOoOoOaaalll!! With his first goal in the building, McKenna ties it! 11:35 to go. From Smith and Wiebusch.

Couldn’t be completely clean as Smith just took a bad interference penalty. First chance to see the PK.

Cerrato draws a penalty. PP gets another chance with 6:08 to go. PP cannot click tonight. Still tied with 3:40 to go.

A tripping penalty gives Stonehill a PP with 2:56 to go.

1:05 to go, Katzin takes a shoulder/punch to face, major waved off, minor assesed, PSU PP in final minute.

Wiebusch to the PP rescue!!!! 3-2 with 22 seconds left!!!!

Your final is 3-2. Stonehill coach is furious, giving it to the refs post whistle.

Can’t watch the game but I’m following on social media. This team’s struggles continue. I’m hoping they can right the ship earlier this season than they did last year. Can’t win in conference play with only one line and a porous defense.

Team needs to learn how to be hunted and every team bringing their best, especially on night one of series.
I hate to say this, but maybe, just like the football and volleyball teams, they are tremendously overrated. Beginning next week, they’re going to start to play almost exclusively top 15 to 20 teams.

Last night, Michigan dominated defending National Champ WMU, which was ranked #2, and last weekend, MSU swept BU, which was ranked #1, on the road. Those are the kinds of teams that PSU is going to be playing beginning next week, and performances in most of their recent games just aren’t going to cut it.

We're saving the Defense for conference games. Don't wanna show too much. 😂

Fourth youngest player in all of cawlidge hockey. Think about that, and all the defensive attention he gets on the ice, when you are questioning his skills. Also, note how he refers to this as his “first season” at PSU.

Saturday night vs Stonehill starts with an early PP that goes for naught. And now another PP about to start. Still scoreless.
The PP is 0-2 thus far. Some good chances on the most recent man advantage.

The PK is up next for a tripping call on Collins. And the PK only gets a couple seconds of work due to a tripping penalty on the Skyhawks. 4-4 for almost 2 minutes. Nothing finding the net yet, another trip on Katzin this time. PK up again. Cerrato had a short handed effort pushed off his stick, and we are back to full strength. And now another penalty on Stonehill. Sin bin seeing plenty of business tonight. Several nice chances, but still scoreless, and the period ends that way.

A early Pk is successful, McKenna missed a breakaway, and now GgggOOoOalll by Crespo from Smith and Misa. 1-0!

Slashing on the Skyhawks has the Lions on the Pp again.

GOoOoOoOoalll! McKenna gets the job done! From Cerrato and Smith. 2-0!

And just when they start looking strong, a defensive lapse gives an odd man rush already in the zone. Skyhawks halve the lead, 2-1.

GOoOoOalll! Under review for offsides. … Wiebusch again, with help from Cerrato and DiMarsico! 3-1!

Tripping on Van Olm puts the PK on the ice for the rest of the second period. Well that was quick, Skyhawks score, 3-2 Guy’s guys.

Third stanza underway. PSU controlling play this far, but Van Olm back in the box. PK on tap, 13 minutes to go.

Van Olm!! Pokes in a rebound shortly after Pk, 4-2!! Collins and that McKenna kid with the assists.

Tripping on Aman, back to the PK, 9 minutes left.

Final, 4-2!

And last night there were some upsets as well, and Michigan lost the second game.

Been following college hockey for a long time. Will take so e to e before we know who is really good, etc. Not to mention, last year showed need to be playing g best hockey at end of the year while doing well enough earlier to qualify for a regional.
