Have to tighten up the D and stop taking so penalties.

This team has absolutely no chemistry at all right now. It also would be nice if a defenseman actually could get a puck to the net.
This is my concern about this team. They are going to have a lot of nights when they leak too many goals—especially so when we get to conference play. Sometimes that will really come back to bite them, like it did tonight. Do them to reach the heights they are aiming for this season, Guy is going to need to have one of his absolute best coaching efforts of his career in finding a way to limit the damage defensively.
A friend has a son playing for Clarkson. He was at the game. He said “Pegula and the entire campus might be one of the best college campuses anywhere in the world.”

Two nights in a row Clarkson scores less than a minute in. Down 1-0. Josh Fleming gets the start in net.
Clarkson from a harsh angle pots another with 13 second left. Down 2-0 thru one.
Wiebusch (can anyone else score this weekend?) with a pretty PP goal. 2-1, but Clarkson now getting their first man advantage. Review assessed five minute major on ScAYCE for Clarkson.
Penalty killed, spectacularly Schoen gets the puck coming out of the box and drives and scores! Then is immediately assessed a penalty assumedly for taunting the ref? 2-2
Dowiak with a shorty!! 3-2!!
Start of the third period pending. Better tonight staying out of the box. Definitely controlled pace of play after five minute major. Fleming looks better after shaky start. Both goalies have benefited from the iron tonight. Fewer defensive breakdowns tonight for PSU.
Cerrato with a drive inside and score!!!! 4-2!! Wiebusch and Crespo get the assists.

Final minute became chippy with numerous ejections. But 5-2 in favor of the good guys.

I think this game may pay dividends all year. Opposing coaches may think twice about trying to outmuscle these guys.
My son and I are going to our first Penn State hockey game tomorrow. Do they sell merch around the arena or do they do we need to go downtown?
Merchandise is sold inside of the Arena. I was at the game last Friday night and the product is great.
Once again, the Lions start slow giving up an easy one to LIU. A very early PP was ineffectual.
