Need to restore some confidence in ourselves tonight, in all phases.

Amen! They surely can't leave the goalie out to dry like they did last night. It was brutal to watch.
Night two underway. Lines shaken up again. BTB together again.
Early odd man rush by Smith and Van Olm can’t bury one. And an early tripping penalty puts PSU at the man advantage. PP unsuccessful.
PSU has come to play, dominating possession and has another PP upcoming. 11:08 to go first.
UM has first sustained pressure of the night. It ends with coincidental minors. 4 on 4 for a spell. 6:22 left first.
PSU with a slash and the PK is up, 3:52 to go first
Scoreless first period a heckuva lot better than last night.
again, PSU carrying pace of play but cannot score. PP upcoming for PSU, 1553 second.
GoOoOoOoOallll! Finally broke the seal! 1-0 Lions from Misa, helped by Van Olm and Schoen.
pressure from UM contained by Fleming, but Cerrato in the box for hooking. Tack on a minor and it’s a minute of 5 on 3 for the bad guys. Stand by, a review is underway, but audio is bad, per usual PSU standards. Review ends, and PK shines, still 1-0. Van Olm stoned point blank. Score remains 1-0, 5:23 left second. Crowd very much into the game.

Goalalal! 3-0 Guy’s guys! Laubach from Dowiak and Katzin! Came off a rush after UM hit the crossbar.
A redirect goes past Fleming, 3-1, 10 minutes to go. Pp coming up for UM. 8:22 to go.
PK a success. 5:44 to go, 3-1. Misa breakaway hits the post.
Ugh, turnover and UM buried it. 3-2, 3:48 to go.
Still 3-2, 1:45 to go. Net empty, 1:30 left.

Nice gritty win to get the split!
I was pretty discouraged after last night, but I wanted to withhold any judgement until I saw what they did tonight. They more than just competed tonight. I like seeing a few different guys scoring for them in this game. I hope tonight jumpstarts them a bit going forward.

When you see us play, you'll know why. I thought we turned a corner against Notre Dame. Then Long Island last Friday happened. We lost 2-6 to Long Island. Long Island! They've only had D1 Hockey for like five years.MINNY.
I still love my Gophers, but my confidence in the hockey teams play this season is shaken.

PSU got lucky. Minny dominated play off the opening drop, but PSU took advantage of a miscommunication to get a goal:

Pretty pathetic not scoring on one of those PP attempts. I know no B1G game is easy but…
There just not that good; they’re as overrated as the football team was.
Somebody must have made a deal with the devil for them to have done what they did in the last two months of last season. It’s becoming apparent that that’s not in the cards this season.

Mich State lost as well. There is no team in the country that looks amazing game in game out right now.If you think this team is bad, look at last year's team at this time of the year.
