He had a bad game. It happens. The entire offense stunk. This offense gets worse without AJ. Flat out. I think Howie knows that, thankfully.@WestSideLion notes on your generational talent
I agree w the Eagles keeping AJ. But i wonder sometimes if this poor play wasn’t intentional. I hope notHe had a bad game. It happens. The entire offense stunk. This offense gets worse without AJ. Flat out. I think Howie knows that, thankfully.
Come on Howie go get Joe Brady if the Bills don't hire him as HC. If not then get Daboll on board
I think that’s spot on, @Tom McAndrew . I’m happy that Howie is leading this hire. He’s better poised to succeed in a wheeling-and-dealing market. On top of the musical chairs hiring process, OC candidates will also fake HC interest to extract bigger contracts.Brady is the OC at Buffalo. And he would still be under contract to the Bills. As such, since it would be a lateral move (to go to the Birds as the OC), the Bills could block him from interviewing. Or, they could allow him to interview, but the Birds would owe compensation (usually a draft pick) to the Bills before they could hire him.
Only time will tell if whomever the Bills hire as HC wants to retain Brady as OC. If they don't, then Brady is free to interview/get hired by any NFL team without restrictions.
My suspicion/guess is that with so many head coaching openings out there (there have been 10 firings/stepping down/away by HC in the NFL), and so many OCs interviewing for all those HC jobs, that is likely to take the Birds some time to land an OC, unless they go a tad bit unconventional (like Bobby Slowik would be) in whom they hire.
That's a good point. With his experience and connections, it's not likely anyone's going to bamboozle Howie. Or at least that's what I like to think.I’m happy that Howie is leading this hire. Eagles oweing comp in the situation were the HC is fired just seems off, not fair. To tie a guy up like that from not seeking employment, when there’s a good possibility he wouldn’t be retained. Add in so late in the hiring cycle it’s just unjust.Brady is the OC at Buffalo. And he would still be under contract to the Bills. Interesting dynamic. Maybe Nick realizes his circle of competence?
Now we are talkingOr it’s Howie’s insecurities that won’t let the HC pick the guy that he’ll be coaching with every day?

Could Brady have a clause that if the HC is fired he becomes a free agent?
or maybe Brian having coached Jalen Hurts knew he had to look elsewhere lets face it, if the Eagles dont go to the Superbowl next year Nick is getting fired.Bummer. I really thought Daboll would be the guy. The most damning part of that report is him preferring the Tennessee OC job over Philly.
Ross Tucker made a great comment about entry point for these guys. Patullo had the worst-possible entry point. A Super Bowl winning roster returning almost everyone off of a record setting season.
Patullo started as a first-time play caller with no margin for error. The next OC comes in with a lot more upward room, but there will be high expectations and immediate pressure.
If you’re a former HC looking for a quick rebound, then there’s substantial risk here.
Hurts may be part of it. He’s polarizing and it would seem that 2026 is a contract year of sorts with him.or maybe Brian having coached Jalen Hurts knew he had to look elsewhere lets face it, if the Eagles dont go to the Superbowl next year Nick is getting fired.
they really cant trade AJ from a cap stand point. Expand what you mean 26 is a contract yr for Hurts TIAHurts may be part of it. He’s polarizing and it would seem that 2026 is a contract year of sorts with him.
If the Eagles don’t play better on offense next year, Sirianni may not be the only casualty. That’s why I don’t see Howie trading AJ.
You don’t do that and set your team up to be better in 2026.
2026 is the penultimate season of his $255 million contract. It’s the last season with guaranteed money.they really cant trade AJ from a cap stand point. Expand what you mean 26 is a contract yr for Hurts TIA
Doesn’t big Red call the playsOh God, not Nagy! Chiefs fans loathed him
