Rock Harrison does ACC broadcasts. He is very good. Excitable but also reasonable and with an officiating background provides some great commentary not only on technique/situations but also the interpretation from a rules perspective. Would love to see Big Ten hire him.
DC, while having understanding of the sport, is comparable to the vast majority of the student BigTen+ commentators who are awful. Everything is over-hyped by him.
Burroughs and DC are both borderline unethical. They both endorsed the "lunger-challenges" as "smart". This is on top of Burroughs comments about deliberately exploiting injuries. They both clearly feel comfortable with "ends justify the means" as a way of living life.

By NOT calling stalling "you determine/influence the outcome". It doesn't just work in one direction. Be consistent. Call it the same bout to bout.

You're right Tom. And this is a perfect example of why calling stalling consistently or NOT calling it influences the outcomes of the matches. Maybe Lovett still wins AND that is acceptable. At least we know who the better wrestler is really based on both initiating action and attempting to score points.

I missed the explanation. Why was Mitch down after the injury in the 1st? No takedowns... why?

Because the official called injury time (righfully so). On restart after injury, your opponent has choice. Reason no TD was because the injury (blow to jaw by back of Mitch's head) was well before he spun around back. This was not like an injury that happens in the course of taking the man to the mat or putting him in criteria for nearfall.

Cael grabbed a brick, I couldn’t figure out why. He wanted to confront that ref. After the match Cael went to that ref and read him the riot act he was pissed.

What’s wild to me is how many PSU wrestlers lost to the eventual champion. Davis, Beau, SVN, Levi, Barr, Kerk.

Beau and Levi lost toss-ups and a healthy Kirk would’ve been a toss-up in the semis too.

Below is the photo attached to Greg's article. Cael can be seen much better. I'm sure there was a phalanx of photographers taking pictures in front of the group. Everyone had a different angle so who you can see and who you can't would depend on which photo you're seeing. Also, in the time they were standing there some people obviously moved around. Trying to get a good group photo in that scenario is almost impossible.

In case this is still being debated. One is a picture as he’s about to hug his wife right in front of PSU section. Next is my angle of the team photo clearly showing Cael in the same white hat and location as straight on photos. (In 2 posts since pics are too big)
