Bohm is so incredibly slow. I don’t think it’s even a debate here. Schwarber is no Rickie Henderson, but at least I’ve seen Schwarber take extra bases. Bohm is a station to station guy - I can’t believe a guy who looks as athletic as he is is so slow twitch.
Cal Ripken was like that.

This may say more about their confidence in Painter at this point.
He struggled at LV coming off Tommy John surgery. Started 19 games and pitched 92 innings. Finish there, and shut him down till next year. Will turn 23 next April. Let's keep our fingers crossed all goes well enough for him next spring, and he makes the 5-man rotaion for the Phils.

Tend to agree. I mean you gotta give more than a run in support, but if you take a 1-0 lead into the 8th, championship caliber teams gotta have the horses to protect it
Speaking of game within a game stuff so Waldrep's go to pitch is the splitter threw it 45 times last night av velo of around 87 had a high swing and miss rate.......the lack of spin on that thing is amazing by the way

1) I assume the phils know this going into the game
2) most of all those pitches fell off the table even side shots of the swing an miss the ball is at the knees

so i ask why wouldn't you as a professional hitter move up in the box and reduce that break and speed up the pitch to what you are seeing normally [velo 94+]? sure Waldrep could come with more cutters if you move up (but why not take away his best pitch? force him out of that comfort zone)

Avg velo on his cutter 92---- Marshy blasted one
