Just unbelievable. Two out nobody on walks ALWAYS come back to haunt the Phillies!! Phillies relievers just keep giving up leads!

Robertson is going to be toast before the playoffs even begin.

Can't our closer get a 4 out save?

Bader needs to play every day. Spark plug and ++ defender

JT took one of the most painful nut shots I’ve ever seen. At least half the stadium (as the announcer amusingly put it) groaned. He’s a tough SOB

Actually quote: "I'll tell ya, half of the crowd knows exactly what JT's feeling right now." Classic.

Phillies are getting big contributions from Outfielders Brandon Marsh and Harrison Bader

Marsh is 10-20 over the last 7 days; BA up to .275 for season
Bader is 11-25 over last 7 days; BA up to .313 for season

And their Outfield defense has been very good

I know we’re in full party mode right now but in what world does a team win the WS after losing their #1 in August? a bummer for sho. Me I’m going to enjoy the party as long as they’re serving.

1st, Sanchez has pitched like a #1 this season. Just have to hope he keeps it up.
2nd, Hamels, Blanton, Meyers, Moyer, and Kendrick won the Phils a WS in 2008. Phillies pitching overall ranked 6th in ERA that year and 15th in FIP (more telling than ERA).
And since everyone likes to b!tch about how bad the current Phil line up is, the 2008 team was 9th in runs scored, 16th in OBP and 6th in slugging. Not a whole lot different than now.
Like I keep saying, winning a WS is all about getting in the playoffs and getting hot at the right time. Oddsmakers currently have the Phillies with about third best chance to win it all (DK actually shows 2nd), with an implied probability of about 11-13%. Dodgers are 1st at ~25%.

Who do they play round 1 if LA gets 2?

Imagine the #3 playoff pitcher Phillies roll out there and insert wheeler, +add a start or 2 cause he’s a 1, then convince me we won’t miss him.

Why are the Phillies and Brewers not playing each other tonight if they played each other yesterday and will play each other tomorrow?

AI: because the Brewers have played 19 games in 18 days. Yesterday was supposed to be an off day for Milwaukee, so that the first game of the series would have been tonight, but the Brewers front office wanted a Labor Day crowd.

If that's the case, there's no way the Phils should have played a Sunday night game. I guess the Brewers are admitting they can't fill their ball park featuring the 2 best records in baseball.
