Ranger does such a good job on fielding as a pitcher. He was forced into this play as Kemp didn't charge the ball, and he still made the out:

ugh, Dugan in to close out the game in the bottom of the 9th, and gives up a 1 out, 0-2 count, HR to Pages. It's the 1st HR he's allowed since being traded to the Fightins.

5-5

Duran gets the 2nd out (Conforto), and then walks Ohtani. Then on a 1-2 count to Betts, the home plate ump missed a 3rd strike (not even close), but Betts flied out on the nexts pitch.

So, we're going extra innings.

JT drives in Bader in the top of the 10th. 6-5, Fightins.

Does Duran pitch a 2nd inning?
EDIT: No, David Robertson comes in to pitch the bottom of the 10th

Bottom of the 10th:

- JT drops a popped up bunt attempt. Then with 2 strikes, Rortvedt hits a chopper to SS that moves Betts, but he gets thrown out
- Fightins intentionally walk Free Freeman
- Robertson walks Call, loading the bases, with 1 out
- Rojas pops to shallow LF, which Stott catches (infield fly rule was called); 2 outs
- Muncy swings on a 1-2 count; checks, and the 3rd base ump says he didn't swing (replay shows that he did). Then he grounds to Harper

6-5, Fightins Win!!!

And they clinch the NL East!!!

On the broadcast they said there was a delay and the team plane didn't get to LA until 3:30AM local. So it was get to the hotel, try to sleep if you couldn't do it on the plane, then get to the stadium for the regular pre-game prep. Long travel day + celebrating into the night = exhausted but happy players. Tonight's game will be interesting. Sanchez vs. Ohtani.

What a big win last night! Now they’re guaranteed to leave LA with at least a 3.5 game lead for the #2 seed. Win another game this series and it’s almost a lock.

They’re 1.5 games behind Milwaukee for the #1 seed. Both teams have what appear to be soft schedules down the stretch. It should be interesting.

Depends on what you mean by soft… Phils have two more vs LA and three in Arizona, two teams fighting for playoff berths and seeding. Brew Crew has final 6 with Padres and Reds, both fighting for playoffs and seeding

Interesting. I thought more of them might have the night off, after last night's celebration.

thru 5, Ohanti had no-hit the Fightins, and then trailed 0-4.

A new Dodger pitcher enters for the top of the 6th, and the Fightins with 5 6 straight hits, to take the lead, 5-4 6-4:

How about the Fightins? They let the Dodgers tie it, 6-6, in the bottom of the 8th (poor relief pitching by Robertson). And then they score 3 runs in the top of the 9th. Duran now in to get the save.

Ring It!!! Fightins win, 9-6. Duran gets the save!

Fightins win the series against the Dodgers.

Magic number to get a 1st round by in the NL playoffs is 4.
