NBC Philly is airing the 2008 yearbook and boy, my production has dropped considerably since they came on. I still get goosebumps.

Hate to say it, but this feels like where we’re headed.
Just hold out until the last moment and then have Cherington do something very stupid for you.
Ok. That’ll shut me up. And I don’t mind the prospect comp.
Everyday and twice on Sunday!Same. I love all the prospects. I would’ve loved to have seen Tait step in for JT in a few years, but man, 2.5 years of Duran for a catcher and what looks like a No. 3 pitcher?
I’ll take that, especially when you have Sanchez and Painter for the foreseeable future, two more years of Wheeler and hopefully an Aaron Nola that can be your No. 3 or 4 depending on Painter’s progression. You control Luzardo next year, too.
Yeah, sign me up.
I give Dombrowski a lot of credit here. This feels like a significant win given the market dynamics and obvious Phillies needs.Seems like a solid deal. Had to do it.
Not a bad trade, all things considered.
The Fightins top 5 prospects seem to be Painter, Miller, Crawford, Escobar, and Tait. Abel has been in their top 5 in the past, but control issues in the minors had knocked him out that perch. Abel over performed in his first few games in the bigs this season, and has a lot of talent. Those factors made him a nice trading chip. And yet, the Fightins seem to have too many starters, with Painter on track to be the next addition. (I don't think they'll resign Ranger (they probably would like to, but it will cost too much), and it will be interesting to see how Nola does when he returns.) So while it's unfortunate that they will part with Abel, as I indicated, I kind of expected that, and don't think his absence will impact them short term or long term.
Tait I do hate to part with. He had the best tools of their minor league catchers. But he was only recently promoted to High-A ball, and he's 18-years-old. In that context, I don't have a problem parting with him for a closer like Duran.
Only time will tell, but it appears that Dombroski made an excellent trade.
There’s still DFA work to do. Lazar had been better, but I still group him with the other two amigos (Corky and Robert).Phillies looking like crap again against the lowly White Sox. BP blowing up in the 7th have given up 4 runs including a 3 run homer. Duran can’t get here fast enough.
PS: now 7 runs across the board in the 7th 9-2.
Marchan is a good defensive catcher. His offense is meh.Tait is a bit of a pill to swallow, but Marchan makes that one a bit easier. I’m fine with Abel. Painter would have sucked.
