Yup!!! Everyday.......I'm retired and keep my lawn mowed nice!!!
It was the walks, Grant. I know there were some close ball calls but as a stopper, you can’t give guys free passes.
Ring It!!!! 4-2, Fightins. Nice to see JT belt a 2-run HR to enable the Fightins to re-take the lead. And an absolute joy to watch Duran blow away Raleigh on 3 straight pitches (each over 100 mph).
I didn’t realize JT’s batting average in the eighth and after was so good. Sheesh. And that ball was crushed.
Yeah, I can't believe the guy walked two batters. Unforgivable.
FFS this thread is absolutely painful at times.
That’s the job! You come in with a guy on first and no outs. You walk two guys and give up 3 runs, then you didn’t do your job.
You make it sound like the guy walked two over 6 innings.
Same question for you. Are you perfect at your job every single day? Give the kid a break. He’s been solid all year.
With Alvarado back, there is zero reason to keep Romano. The sample size is big enough. He is what he is, which is not up to par with what they need from the bullpen.
Reminds me of a story about Bowa and Schmidt. The ump blows a call and Bowa goes nuts, as only LB can. He screams at Schmidt, “The guy was out by a mile!” “No, the guy was safe.” “Wtfwtfwtfwtf?” “Umpire called him safe, he’s safe.” Every fan base has Bowas and Schmidts. You’re a Schmidt. It’s a long season, and it can be especially painful for Bowas. I’ve learned to let them rant, give them grace. It’s how they roll.
I'm not a hot head, Bowa was a hot head! I'm a passionate Phillies fan though so when the number 1 middle reliever comes in and gives two walks and a double and subsequently three runs I'm going to go ahead and say that was not a good job.
Phils are making this way too close, 16 base runners through 6 and it's only 3-2. Luzardo pitched great, and Robertson gives up a home run to his first batter.

Sure. My father was the hardest man in the world to watch a game with. He was definitely a hot head. God, he hated the refs.
Must have been a generational thing...my dad was a Yankee fanatic, it was hard to stay in the same room with him. He didn't like going to the Bronx so he would take us to Baltimore Memorial when the Yankees were in town, Orioles had good teams back then. Those were very memorable trips with my old man. God I miss him!
