Like Bryce Harper, did any of you Phillies Phans get 1/3rd of your blood removed, filtered, oxygenated and then reinjected in order to be better in 2026?

Perhaps something to ask Santa for.

In general I like keeping him, however.
1. Its too many years
2. Its too much $$
3. if he's here he needs to get OUT of the 2 hole
OR
4. They need to get a True Cleanup Hitter in this lineup to 'protect' Harper

My concern centers around it tying their hands too much to do the other things they need to do......running it back with this group is not the move here!

All big contracts are for too many years and too much money.
The days of the "clean up hitter" (4 spot) are over. Your best hitters (especially ones with high OBP) are 2nd and 3rd in the line up.

Agreed on the contracts

I get traditional cleanup hitters are of days gone by buuuuuttt, if Harper’s gonna whine about no protection, you need someone besides Bohm at cleanup

Sitting in Dunedin thinking how different the landscape would have been if they gave Schwarber $100m over 5 years and Nick $80m over 4 years instead 4 years back. You would be done with Nick and not owe him anything and have Kyle on the cheap for this year. What a difference that would have made for this year and the construct for this year.

The Dodgers motto is “Let’s be Pigs”. The game walks the plank after this season and the fascinating early thought is how a team with $400m+ payroll will transition to a hard cap that they will most certainly exceed. Armageddon is coming.
