19 strikeouts by the Phillies in a win--and the Giants had 17 and won in Cincy (I was there in Cincy). Not sure I've ever seen that many strikeouts in a game before. Crazy day.

Watching Bohm down in Clearwater every day, you came away that the BEST offseason move the Phillies made was the move they made by not trading Bohm.

Every hitter should watch his approach. He wears out the middle of the field when they pitch him middle out and he can punish you when you pitch him middle in. Harper is The Showman for good reason but in the highest leverage moment, I feel most confidence in Bohm.

I'm not sure he hits 30 but he can drive in 125 runs and approach .300. He can have a monster year.

My buddy and I were up by home plate on the 1B side when JT hit this. The RF wall blocked our view, but a big group of Phillies fans on the 3B side erupted when it dropped in for a hit.

Man, I've spent so much time over the years hanging out around the bullpens just watching and listening to others heckle the opposing pitchers. Im not big on being a jerk to opposing players, but I do find it entertaining, especially when the Mets, Braves, Yankees, etc., are in town.

Torpedo bat: a totally legal bat with a larger sweet spot than what is found on traditional bats. Anything that adds offense is fine with me.

Argue that its not a larger sweet spot just a moved sweet spot...actually look to women's softball bats and they have a similar sweet spot location and have for a decade or so.

And to not doubt the MIT physics guy for the Yanks but this seems a bit contrary to the notion to that of an axe or sledgehammer where the weight at the end of the bat generates more bat speed which lends to power in the F=ma equation.....does this lessen the A but increases the M at actual contact point on the bat? are you robbing peter to pay paul as it were??
