Turner missed a game tying HR in the top of the 8th by about 6 inches. Now 5-4, Rays, bottom of the 8th

Scroll down in the box score and look at first pitch strikes tonight from everyone other than Tanner Banks. There is no pitch better than Strike 1.

Not that it will register with anyone but Chet Lemon passed away at age 70. He was one of the best baseball men you’d ever meet. He ran a camp in the spring and was as hands on and involved with the campers as one could be. The MLB family lost a good one today. RIP Chet Lemon.

the home plate ump is wildly inconsistent tonight. Way too many pitches that are outside, inside, or low, being called for strikes. (And ESPN broadcasters are blabbering on about what a good ump he is.)
