Well everybody here wanted a challenging home schedule to sell tickets. Should be 4 sellouts for sure and maybe 5 if fans want to see a the 2024 Big 12 Champion!

That’s a horrible schedule to drive attendance. 4 consecutive home games, and they’re during the hottest part of the season…
That was my first impression, that really sucks for out of town people as well as locals like me. I don't want to go through setting up tailgate 4 weeks in a row. They're doing everything they can to drive fans away, consciously or not

Good God some of you are so insufferable!
***** about it being hot, too many consecutive home games!
Hell Auburn had 5 straight home games to start the season this year and 0 home games in October!
Sh/+ happens.

Does Keenum not advocate for us at all in the league office? This is the inverse of NFL scheduling. Also who signed a contract for us to go to H'burg? WTF?

It was a 2-for-1 contract. With the cost of buy games, you need a G5 road game in the years you don't have a P4 road game. Simple as that.

Woohoo!!!! This gives me a chance to fry and watch State fry as well. Watch that game in Hattiesburg be a 2:00 PM kickoff or something hot like that. It really needs to be a 7:00 to 7:30 pm kickoff, but that would make way too much sense for that to happen.

Right I understand that, but do other SEC teams do this, play at a in state G5? OM would never play in the 'burg.

Last time I went to see us play at Southern the kickoff was at 9pm.

Last time we played in Hattiesburg we got the 9PM central time kickoff. I couldn't even stay up that late to watch a game 10 years ago.

I don't believe anyone at all forced you to read the post, and and if you were incensed by the post why the hell did you even respond? Its very easy to keep scrolling past instead of being "insufferable" and responding. And I don't give a FLYING **** what Auburn does nor did I ask you what they did. Not only did you bit ch about me posting, you added the Auburn part so you could keep bit ching. Sounds a little hypocritical to me for you to bit ch about me bit ching.......

This schedule will sell tickets alright. To those in Orange, red/black and red/blue.

....that east side will truly be the visitors side.

There is no reason for Sh/+ like that to happen though. The SEC as a whole gets a few hundred million a year from TV. We can't carve out $75k to pay somebody to sit in an office with some spreadsheets and do scheduling in a way that doesn't suck? Too many moving parts to get it perfect, but no reason to have teams get too front loaded or backloaded with home games.

Yeah. No way I'm buying a ticket to one of those conference games. ASU or NIU, maybe.

I usually buy 4. Next year, I buying 2 on the west (because 23 was brutal sitting over there among visitors) and 2 on the east. Hopefully my East tickets recoup themselves.

Yep. It's crazy to me that people want a harder schedule. I mean the committee even reinforced that you don't need it, if you are in the P4. And we have those guys right here in this very thread:

Short of making the playoffs, these big home SEC matchups are the highlight of the season. Bowl games are a waste of time even more so than before.
Who the hell wants to see us lose? I was more interested in Zona State (before we knew they were good), Toledo and UMass than the asss-kickings.

Perfect storm to murder our football program. Bad hire, 2-10, hard schedule, and hard for fans to come. Rock bottom.

At least we can start again once rev-sharing stabilizes stuff in 2026.

Finally get Alabama and LSU off when they aren’t the same anymore, get Auburn off when they are the 2nd worst team in the conference and replace them with Georgia, Texas, Tennessee when they are the best. Its funny if you channel your inner Joker.

Better than the 9:15 pm start the last time we played in Hattiesburg. Game was over around 1 am.
