My Predictions for the upcoming SPC season

1st West Rowan
- I believe this is the year that WR climbs the mountain and wins the SPC. They have return a lot of talent on both sides of the ball but have to replace some major talents. They will return the best QB in the conference in Graham who is a 3yr starter. They also return several key pieces on Defense. A stout JV team the past two years and you have a recipe for success.
2nd Salisbury
- The wild card in the new conference. Taking the place of Central Cabarrus, teams won't have a freeby. Don't know much about Salisbury but they also have a surplus of talent across the board. They are known for making deep playoff runs.
3rd Northwest Cabarrus
- They return a key core that has been together the last few years. They will have the best secondary in the league. It is going to be a task to throw the ball on this group. They do have some question marks but with a strong JV team I see them having a successful season.
4th JM Robinson
- The biggest mystery of the conference. Everyone has the highly ranked but I don't see it. They have to replace several key playmakers on both sides of the ball. They return some key pieces but its going to be difficult to replace all that production. Also have had a successful JV team but can that talent step up? I think this is the year that the target the bulldogs have on their backs gets too heavy and this is the year they are knocked off their throne.
5th Concord
- Returns several key OL/DL that could make a big difference. The big task that will be replacing is Petroff. He was a monster on both sides of the ball. Word is they are getting back to the Smith/Padgett days, the phone lines are hot on Burrage Rd. You never know who might enroll. Concord could definitely rise up this list.
6th South Rowan
- Coach Walsh did a heck of a job last season. Took the raiders to the playoffs and had chances beat West Henderson. They graduate a ton of their production from last year. The plus is they return a young promising RB in Arthur and a transfer QB in the Cox Mill Kid. It will be interesting to see how they do.
7th Carson
- Decent JV squad last year. Don't worry baseball will start back up in 9 months
8th East Rowan
- Decent JV squad last year. Don't worry baseball will start back up in 9 months

Somebody's done there homework... Good take on the conference but JM and NW won't go away quietly... We'll see how the chips fall...

I will give you credit for being VERY bold with that lineup.

1- JMR
2-WR
3- NW

Keep an eye on South/Carson the next couple of years... There's a lot of red dirt in that part of Rowan... People are moving in fast...
Carson needs to actually try to win a game over trying to not get a running clock put on them. I watched them play a game last year and they were trying to eat up the clock in play 1. It was so sad the Carson parents were embarrassed at halftime at the concession stand.

I would not allow my child to play for that coach if that’s the lessons he is teaching. Go out and battle.

I think Salisbury is going to be down some but they always have athletes and a good coach. I could see them 3rd or 4th. Give me JM Robinson to win conference. West Rowan and NW battling for 2nd and 3rd. I think South Rowan will have some improvement. They did really well last year.
