I was born and raised in Richmond, graduate of Hermitage in 1970 (Yep, giving away my age). I live in Charlotte, NC now. I know Grimsley from Greensboro is going to be a very tough game for them. For the last several years, to the chagrin of many fans in the Greensboro area and yours truly actually, Grimsley has taken full advantage of what we call in NC the transfer portal. They have a few but not many organic players. Many of their players are transfers and Grimsley has the goal of playing on the national stage. They are the defending NC 4A state champion. NC did realignment this offseason and went to 8 classifications. Grimsley will be playing in 7A this season.
