Arnold's choice to stay at Iowa with no path to start at his optimum weight.

There should've been another stall against Arnold. That last second TD by John shouldn't have even mattered.
I was very surprised he didn't get called for stalling when he dove off the mat to avoid the TD. But I suspect if he had he would not have gotten the other stall. Felt like a make up call.

Period 1:
Let's get this over quick Cole. Luke's coming up. Here we go! Tying up & pushing. Cole drops to a leg & finishes the TD, 3-0. Cole looks for a cradle, then cuts Christenson, 3-1. Cole shoots & gets another TD, 6-1. He has Christenson on his back & gets the FALL!!! Sweet job Cole!!!

Penn State will have 10 quarterfinalists at the 2026 Big Ten Wrestling Championships. Braeden Davis won his opener 6-4 at 141 pounds over Dario Lemus of Maryland, while heavyweight Cole Mirasola pinned Gabe Christenson of Northwestern in just 25 seconds.

Period 1:
All the bullets chambered for this round. It's time to take back 1st place! Peterson is rocking the pink hair. Luke looks determined. Here we go! Collar ties & snaps to start us off. Peterson charges forward, Luke evades. Back to tying up & hand fighting. Luke presses forward a bit. Peterson pushes back to center. More collar ties & hand fighting in the center of the Resilite. Luke shoots, but can't get there. Luke shoots again, but Peterson circles away. Collar ties & hand fighting again. Luke shoots, but can't get there. Peterson pushes forward a bit. Luke works back to center, 1-min left. Peterson shoots, Luke counters, but nobody scores. Luke takes Peterson to the edge. Peterson circles back to center. Collar ties & hand fighting again. More of the same to end the period. 0-0

Period 2:
Peterson takes down. He works to a tripod, then fights free for the escape, 1-0. Luke quickly works into a bodylock & takes Peterson to the mat, but he pops up quick & has a whizzer in. Out of bounds, no scoring, neutral restart. PSU throws the brick.

Challenge won, score changed to 3-1 Luke. He also gets 13-seconds of riding time. Peterson starts down, 1:22 left. He works to his feet. Luke tries to jack him up, but Peterson fights for the escape, 3-2. Tying up & hand fighting again. Luke presses forward & takes Peterson to the edge. Luke tries some snaps. More tying up & hand fighting to end the period. 3-2 Luke, +36-sec RT

Period 3:
Luke takes down. He pops to his feet & gets the escape, 4-2. Luke shoots & almost gets to a leg, but Peterson fights out of it. Luke has Peterson on the edge & drops to a leg. Peterson rolls. Luke rolls with him. They roll again. Peterson locks around a leg. Luke is trying to work behind & then he gets the TD, 7-2. Out of bounds & restart. Peterson starts down. Iowa throws the brick now. I'm not sure what they're challenging.

Challenge lost, score stays 7-2 Luke. Back to action. Peterson starts down. Caution on Peterson. 57-sec left in the period. Peterson pops to his feet & tries to turn, but Luke hits a double & lifts Peterson off the mat, then brings him back down. Luke goes over 1-min of riding time. Out of bounds & restart, 27-sec left. Peterson is still down. Peterson works to his feet for a moment. Luke drops to a leg & elevates it. Peterson fights for the escape, 7-3 & time expires. Luke adds a riding time point, 8-3.
